The Chilean economy fell again in August. Imacec retreated 1.0% in a year, dragged mainly by the collapse of 17.4% of mining.

Economic activity declined 1.0% annually and 0.7% compared to July, with a fall of 17.4% of mining. Between January and August, six months recorded year-on-year contractions, while non-mining Imacec grew 1.4%.
