Three officers from the Congolese Armed Forces (FARDC) arrived in Goma this week to join the joint mechanism intended to monitor the ceasefire between Kinshasa and the AFC/M23. This mechanism was planned as part of the Doha agreement in October 2025, but remained on paper for six months before being signed. Meanwhile, on the ground, the two sides continue to accuse each other of new attacks against civilians.
