MIT Technology Review Announces This Year's 35 Innovators Under 35
The honorees were chosen from 550 nominations by 44 expert judges and span biotechnology, AI, computing and robotics, and climate and energy.

- To select the finalists, editors sifted through 550 nominations during a months-long process, evaluating candidates alongside 44 expert judges, some of whom are former honorees themselves.
- The 2026 honorees include researchers developing efficient chips to recycle energy for data centers, entrepreneurs teaching AI agents to understand our world, and scientists creating methods to prevent age-related vision loss.
- "These young people are driving real progress, and they're worth watching in the years ahead," says Amy Nordrum, executive editor at MIT Technology Review, reflecting on the list's significance.
- Past lists have recognized individuals who went on to profoundly shape the tech landscape, including Instagram's Kevin Systrom, Spotify's Daniel Ek, AMD's Lisa Su, and AI pioneer Ilya Sutskever.
