The City of Waterloo is making changes to ensure city buildings, facilities and public spaces are more accessible

The City of Waterloo city wants to make sure its city buildings, facilities and public spaces are more accessible. The Accessible Design for Buildings and Outdoor Spaces adds to the Ontario Building Code requirements and hopefully prevents issues that may arise after the construction of a building is completed. CBC K-W went on a tour of some changes made at the city centre at 100 Regina Street with Alyssa Clelland and Amy Ross from the Grand River Accessibility Advisory Committee.
