- Following the verdict, Al Mubarak stated the club maintains "confidence and intent in proving the Club's innocence," while lawyer Simon Cliff once wrote the chairman would rather "spend 30 million on the 50 best lawyers."
- The Premier League case relies on internal documents obtained by a hacker-whistleblower, echoing a 2020 UEFA investigation where City successfully appealed a two-year Champions League ban.
