Criminal proceedings have been instituted against two brothers from Minsk under an article on tax evasion in a particularly large amount, they have devised a scheme with a foreign company for the sale of sawnwood, informs the Investigation Committee. According to the investigation, in July 2023, one of the accused bought a foreign company.

According to the investigation, 31-year-old brothers used a controlled foreign company for three years to minimize the taxable base; in mid-July 2023, one of them acquired a foreign organization that was placed on a tax register in Belarus at the end of the same year as a foreign legal entity without the right to engage in business activities.
