A 27-year-old man from a town in the Augustów district of Podlasie faces 10 to 30 years in prison or life imprisonment for throwing his 6-month-old baby to the floor. The infant has been hospitalized for several days. The District Prosecutor's Office in Suwałki announced today that the 27-year-old has been detained for three months.
A six-month-old boy from near Augustów (Podlaskie Voivodeship) underwent surgery and is currently in a hospital in Białystok. He is in serious condition. "The child's father threw him to the floor," prosecutor Sebastian Piekarski from the Augustów prosecutor's office told Fakt.pl. The man has already been charged and is currently in pretrial detention.
