The salary settlement of teachers will continue with further significant steps - according to the bill on the 2027 budget. According to the bill submitted on Friday night, teachers and lecturers will receive an average salary increase of five and a half percent from 2027, the measure affects 164 thousand employees, and the budget expenditure is 120 billion forints.
The total expenditure of the Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs next year will exceed 3,224 billion forints, and its revenue will be 42.7 billion forints, according to the budget draft posted on the website of the National Assembly.
The settlement of salaries for employees in the Hungarian education system will continue with a significant wage increase in 2027, as next year's budget provides a significant increase not only for teachers but also for employees assisting in educational work.
The cost expenditure is 120 billion forints, while the wage increase for NOKS workers is 61 billion forints.
