Despite the promise of creative refreshment, "Stewart Fails to Save the Universe" is amateurish and predictable. The third "Big Bang" spin-off presents a meager plot that could have belonged in the microdrama genre.
The first episode of How Stuart Failed to Save the Universe premiered on HBO Max on Thursday, July 23. The series follows the adventures of comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, his girlfriend Denise, and also stars Barry Kripke and geologist Bert Kibbler.
The project brings together well-known characters, incorporates alternative versions of various protagonists and seeks to expand the universe of the successful nerd series.
