Some 200 activists from the far left spontaneously protested Thursday at the end of the day in the city of Bern against the will of the Bern Grand Council to ban the antifa movement. "Siamo tutti antifascisti - We are all Antifa - wir sind alle Antifa!" chanted the crowd.
The Bernese Grand Council called for the ban of extreme-left groups such as the "antifas" and the "black bloc". On Wednesday, it adopted by 82 votes to 64 a UDC motion instructing the Executive Council to intervene in this direction with the Confederation.
