Western Thrace celebrates Hıdrellez with festivities over the weekend

The Turkish minority associations in Western Thrace organized a series of lively events to mark the Hıdrellez Spring Festival over the weekend, bringing communities together to celebrate the traditional holiday.

Hıdırellez, which symbolizes the arrival of spring, was celebrated with colorful events in Avcılar. Street dancers in colorful clothes joined the celebrations accompanied by a procession. Hıdırellez Festival participants jumped over fires and tied their wishes to trees
