Professor Dr. Etem Karakaya from Eskişehir Osmangazi University stated that the rare earth element (REE) reserve in Beylikova, Eskişehir, which the AKP announced as 694 million tons, is actually between 1.4 million and 14 million tons. The 694 million tons claimed by the government is exactly 49.57 times more than the 14 million tons claimed.
