Air quality continues to deteriorate as the weekend of 21 and 22 June 2025 approaches, as a result of an increasing concentration of ozone, the main pollutant in question, caused in particular by the combined effect of rising temperatures and road traffic.
As a result of the high heats, air quality is deteriorating in the Alpes-Maritimes. The level 1 alert threshold for ozone pollution is activated this Friday, June 20 in the Alpes-Maritimes. The announcement was made this Thursday by the prefect of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
