New Video Shows Aftermath of Boy Falling Out of Worcester Window
Police said the child fell more than 60 feet and landed on mulch, while investigators are still determining how the window fall happened.
On April 15, a 4-year-old boy survived a 7-story fall from a window at the Lincoln Village Apartments in Worcester, Massachusetts, and officials confirm he is expected to make a full recovery.
Worcester Police Department investigators determined the child fell 62 feet after a window screen broke, with the impact partially cushioned by a patch of mulch on the ground below.
One witness, identified as Antonio, heard the boy screaming and ran to help, later remarking that the child had something on his shoulder that said "you're not today."
Sgt. Elise Miranda with the Worcester Police Department urged families to install window security tools as warmer weather increases risks of falls from open windows.
Police confirmed the family is fully cooperating with investigators, and the boy remained in stable condition as of Thursday, with doctors expecting a complete recovery.
