Texas sues city of Houston over newly approved ICE ordinance
HOUSTON – Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit against Houston City officials for the adoption of an ordinance that, according to his office, violates state law known as Senate Bill 4 (SB 4), passed during the 2017 legislative session. According to SB 4, local authorities cannot adopt, implement or support policies that substantially prohibit or limit the application of federal immigration laws.
