- Todd Edward Ellison, who pleaded guilty on Dec. 17, 2024, was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Fernando Rodriguez Jr., followed by lifetime supervised release.
- In May 2020, authorities obtained a search warrant after suspicions he used social media to impersonate and harass a female victim, and forensic analysis found he possessed over 1,500 images and 21 videos of child pornography.
- According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, investigators from ICE-HSI's Rio Grande Valley Child Exploitation Investigations Task Force led the probe, and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ana C. Cano and Jose A. Esquivel prosecuted the case.
- He will be required to register as a sex offender and follow court-ordered access restrictions, with restitution to victims to be determined and custody pending transfer to a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility in the near future.
