Texas Children's Named a Best Children's Hospital and is Number One in Texas Again for 18th Consecutive Year
The hospital earned top national rankings in heart care and diabetes, with nine specialties placing among the nation’s top five, officials said.
On Tuesday, Sept 15, 2026, Texas Children was named to the World Report Best Children Hospitals Honor Roll, securing the Number One ranking in Texas for the 18th consecutive year.
Texas Children Heart Center earned the Number One ranking in Cardiology and Heart Surgery for the 10th consecutive year, performing more than 1,000 surgeries and 1,600 cardiac catheterization procedures annually.
The hospital also earned the Number One ranking in Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology, with nine specialties ranked among the National top five.
"For families facing the most complex or common diagnoses, these rankings represent something deeply personal: confidence that their child can receive extraordinary care," said Debra Sukin, President and CEO of Texas Children.
Affiliated with Baylor College Medicine, the system includes Hospital The Woodlands, Hospital West Campus, and Hospital North Austin, alongside the Duncan NRI and the nation's first Health Plan for Children.
