(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Hong Kyu-bin = U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has ranked first in sales in the imported car market for seven consecutive months.
It was found that half of the top 10 best-selling imported car models in Korea in August were made in China. Tesla maintained monthly sales of 10,000 units for six consecutive months, while BYD simultaneously targeted the electric vehicle and hybrid markets, recording 9th place in sales rankings in a short period of time by leading with its new plug-in hybrid model.
