Tesla Showroom in Texas Targeted with Incendiary Devices
- On Tuesday, Texarkana police arrested 33-year-old Demarqeyun Cox for allegedly damaging multiple Tesla vehicles across the city in separate incidents.
- The initial incident reported to police involved a mini four-wheeler intentionally ramming a parked Tesla at full speed at the Golden Place restaurant on Summerhill Road, captured on surveillance footage.
- Following the initial report, police received another call about a damaged Tesla in the Lowe's parking lot, prompting a search for the suspect.
- Officer Blake Lummus spotted Cox riding a mini four-wheeler near Summerhill and New Boston Roads, recognized him from the video, and after Cox initially provided a false name, he was taken into custody.
- Cox is charged with one count of felony criminal mischief and failure to identify, and while he is being held in the Bi-State Jail, police are investigating two other incidents to determine if additional charges will be filed.
