Tesla unveils cheaper Cybertruck variant, cuts Cyberbeast price to drive demand

Tesla announced today a base all-wheel-drive Cybertruck starting at $60k and cut the Cyberbeast price to $100k, down from $115k.
Facing slow demand, Tesla sells about 5,000 vehicles per quarter, far below projections of over 250,000 units per year, with 20,237 Cybertrucks sold in the US in 2025.
The new AWD includes two motors and an estimated 325 mi range, and Tesla lists features like tonneau cover and bed outlets.
Tesla positioned the AWD as its "most affordable" Cybertruck in a comparison chart, while the Cyberbeast price cut reverses a $15k change from last August.
While not the $40k originally promised, Tesla's pricing edges closer after $120k Foundation deliveries and cancelled $70k Cybertruck RWD, using sales tactics like new territories and product shifts.
