Asylum Minister Bart van den Brink believes that security should be deployed as long as necessary in Ter Apel to keep out nuisance asylum seekers. Residential care center Kloosterheerd has recently been doing this, because young people there cause inconvenience in the evening. Van den Brink calls that “undesirable”.
Residential care center Kloosterheerd in Ter Apel has temporarily deployed security following three incidents involving young asylum seekers. The incidents took place in late July and early August. The police, the COA, and the municipality of Westerwolde were subsequently informed.
