On 14 November 2015, the investigators followed Salah Abdeslam's trail to Belgium. He managed to convince two acquaintances to pick him up by car in Paris. The terrorist was arrested in March 2016 in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. With one of the highest population densities in the Belgian capital, Molenbeek remains one of the poorest of the 19 municipalities in Brussels.
