- Investigators determined Krug was traveling over 100 MPH on East Fowler Avenue, where the posted speed limit is 50 miles, when he struck a Nissan Pathfinder on April 15.
- While all five occupants of the SUV sustained injuries, a 6-year-old passenger died and an 8-year-old remains hospitalized following the crash.
- The Temple Terrace Police Department terminated Krug after an internal investigation found his actions violated department policy, city rules, and state law.
