Telstra Expands Aura Network to Strengthen Australia's East-West Digital Corridor
Telstra says the upgrade will increase capacity and resilience for businesses and government as demand for cloud and data services rises.
On Thursday, Telstra launched the Aura Network, establishing a high-capacity connection between the west and the east to support critical digital infrastructure across the region.
This infrastructure addition strengthens the nation's digital corridor, providing businesses with enhanced connectivity to major cloud providers and digital hubs while supporting the growing digital economy.
According to Telstra Digital Infrastructure CEO Steven Worrall, the system utilizes dual fiber paths, which offers customers increased resilience and capacity for massive data traffic flows.
Digital services contribute significantly to the economy in the west, and faster data transmission is expected to further support regional economic growth as demand for access rises.
As demand for cloud computing and advanced technology accelerates, the network positions the region as a strategic digital and defense hub for the Asia-Pacific, enhancing global connectivity.
