Teenagers Fired BB Gun at Pedestrians in Downtown Sudbury

On Aug. 10, Greater Sudbury Police arrested four people after they allegedly shot BB guns and fireworks at pedestrians from a pickup truck in downtown Sudbury, Ont.
Officers received multiple calls just before 10 p.m. regarding the vehicle's occupants; as Investigators searched, additional reports came in that one pedestrian was struck by a pellet.
At 10:40 p.m., officers located the pickup truck in Chelmsford and arrested the four individuals, seizing multiple pellet guns and ammunition from the vehicle.
The two 18-year-old men and two 17-year-old youths face Criminal Code charges including "Pointing a firearm" and "Assault with a weapon."
All four individuals were released on undertakings with court dates in the fall, though identities of the two youths remain protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
