Under 16 years of age detained in flagrante delicto on suspicion of setting off the August 8th fire in Vila do Carvalho, in the Covilhã county. The fire has put houses at risk.

Fire was caused by direct flame, through lighter, having consumed about 1500 square meters.

The fire endangered homes and other high-value goods, but did not reach a larger size since it was detected in time and combated by the Covilhã Volunteer Firefighters, supported by an aerial medium.
A young man of only 16 years of age was arrested by the PJ for setting up a forest fire on 8 August in the Vila do Carvalho, municipality of Covilhã. With him, at the time of the events, there were two other adolescents, who did not have any intervention in the crime.
