TIMES SQUARE, NEW YORK CITY, AUG 9 – A 17-year-old opened fire after a restaurant dispute, injuring three people with non-life-threatening wounds, police said.
- Recently, an 18-year-old woman was shot in Times Square after a teenage gunman injured three people, police said.
- Following a dispute inside a Raising Cane's restaurant at West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue early Saturday morning, gunfire broke out as the suspect and a female companion fled.
- Three victims included a 19-year-old man shot in the foot, an 18-year-old woman grazed in the neck, and a 65-year-old man shot in the leg, all taken to Bellevue Hospital.
- Authorities reported the 18-year-old woman was apprehended at the scene, and EMS transported all three victims to Bellevue Hospital, where they are in stable condition.
- According to NYPD data, the first seven months of 2025 saw only 412 shootings, a 23 percent drop from last year, amidst a recent decline in gun crime in New York City.
