L'Esportiu, formerly known as El 9 Esportiu, is the only sports newspaper in Catalan that we can find in the newsstands of Catalonia. It has been in the street since 2 January 2002, [2] and meant the incorporation of Catalan in the daily sports press for the first time since 1939. In addition, this was a newspaper that became a revulsive in terms of the Catalan language and also a magnificent platform to reflect the good time of Catalan sport.
