For decades, the U.S. state of Texas has been a bastion of the Republican Party. With James Talarico, of all people, a left-wing Democrat who advertises with Jesus' message wants to become a Texas Senator in the mid-term elections at the beginning of November. A poll published on Saturday gives Talarico quite realistic chances of a victory. If he succeeds, that would mean at least for Texas, if not for the whole country, a political fence.
