Take Two sinks 10% on delay of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 2026
- On Thursday, Take-Two Interactive announced Grand Theft Auto VI will now launch Nov. 19, 2026 as part of its July-September quarterly earnings report.
- Earlier this year, Rockstar Games targeted a fall 2025 release before moving it to May 26, 2026, with Strauss Zelnick giving no reason for the delay but expressing confidence in the project.
- Rockstar Games acknowledged the delay and said the trailer from May drew 475 million views, apologizing for the extra wait while promising more polish.
- Take-Two reported for the quarter a GAAP net loss of 73 cents per share on $1.77 billion in revenue, with net bookings of $1.96 billion and non-GAAP earnings of $116.7 million.
- Take-Two also revised its release calendar to include `BioShock next iteration` and `Top Goal`, both with TBA launch dates, after an earlier May 2026 delay caused a $2.7 billion impact.
