Taipei, May 15 (CNA) The Taiwan Stock Exchange's main index opened up 78.67 points at 41,830.42 Friday on turnover of NT$17.72 billion (US$557.36 million).
Following the Trump-Xi meeting, the Taiwan stock market opened at 41,496.23 points on the 14th, up 121.73 points. During the session, the index briefly returned to the 42,000-point mark, rising over 700 points, but ultimately closed up 377.25 points at 41,751.75. Furthermore, the Taiwan stock market has risen by over 40% this year, and the total size of ETFs has exceeded NT$6 trillion, continuing to reach new highs.
