Symbiosis Bridge Bug Let A Hacker Mint More Bitcoin Than Will Ever Exist
A forged message tricked Symbiosis's BridgeV2 contract into minting over 4.6 quintillion units of unbacked synthetic Bitcoin on BNB Chain, dwarfing Bitcoin's real 21 million coin cap. The attacker could only cash out about $336,000 of it before Symbiosis halted BTC routing, recovered 15 BTC, and offered a 20% white-hat bounty due today.
