Riyadh to host global leaders for UNESCO AI Ethics Forum 2026
Riyadh will host the fourth edition of the UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence 2026 from Sept. 14 to 17, bringing together global experts to discuss key issues surrounding AI ethics and the governance of emerging technologies.
On Wednesday, the Federal Council set out the outline of the artificial intelligence (AI) summit that Switzerland will host on 21 and 22 June 2027 in Geneva. The event is expected to cost some six million francs. Former director of CERN Fabiola Gianotti has been appointed as delegate.
The Federal Council has defined the strategic orientation of the Geneva AI Summit 2027 and appointed Fabiola Gianotti as delegate. Thus, the former Director General of the Cern is responsible for the strategic and substantive positioning of the summit and is to implement the defined objectives.
For the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence (AI), held in Geneva in June 2027, the Federal Council has defined the strategic direction.
