The Federal Council of Switzerland has imposed restrictive measures established by the European Union against Belarus because of Russia's support for the conflict with Ukraine, and it is mentioned in a press release issued by the agency.
The Swiss Federal Council has joined the new EU sanctions against Belarus on the website of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
The Swiss Federal Council imposed additional sanctions against Belarus, joining the restrictive measures adopted by the European Union on 23 April 2026, which came into force on 19 September, informed the Swiss Government that the Swiss authorities had explained the decision to continue to support Russia in the war against Ukraine.
