The Government of Switzerland dramatically increased the forecast of GDP growth in 2026 to 1.7 per cent, with expected growth of 0.9 per cent in June after an unexpectedly strong second quarter.
Switzerland has raised its outlook for economic growth during the current year to 1.7 per cent, expecting a stronger performance than earlier estimates despite the risks associated with rising energy costs as a result of the war with Iran, as announced by the Swiss Ministry of Economy, Thursday.
The federal economists expect a significantly better economic development than before. For this year, they expect economic growth of 1.7 percent – in June, they still expected 0.9 percent. However, there are also risks.
