SIX, the stock exchange operator, is about to announce its successor to the outgoing President Thomas Wellauer. Former CS Swiss CEO André Helfenstein is expected to make the race, as the news agency AWP has learned from a secure source.
The former CEO of Credit Suisse Switzerland has been on the Board of Directors of SIX for more than five years. After the departure of Credit Suisse's former head of Switzerland after being acquired by UBS in July 2024, he remained on the post there. According to media reports, he is now well in the race to succeed SIX VRP Thomas Wellauer.
