Polish submariners will begin training in Sweden this summer, and in subsequent years, the Polish Navy may receive a lease of the Swedish submarine HMS Södermanland. This information has been officially confirmed by the Swedish Armed Forces. The solution is intended to bridge the gap between the current capabilities of the Polish submarine fleet and the delivery of new ships under the Orka program.
