Saab Receives Order From FMV for Further Work on Future Concept

- This contract builds on agreements placed in 2024 and 2025 as part of the Future Combat Aviation Concept study, which aims to establish the technical basis for Sweden's combat air capability after 2040.
- The work includes flying and ground-based demonstrators to test systems integration, autonomy, signature management, and propulsion, giving Saab a three-year period to mature technologies and demonstrate possible approaches.
- Covering work from 2026 to 2028, the order includes options extending activity into 2029 and 2030, following the August 22, 2026 presentation of the A3-001 uncrewed combat air system concept at Malmen Air Base.
- Lars Tossman, head of Saab's Aeronautics business area, said the programme strengthens national capabilities in systems integration and future production, contributing to creating freedom of action for future choices in Sweden.
