JOHNSON CITY — A Johnson City man was arrested after police said he fired two shots in the direction of two people Friday evening, with one round striking a vehicle. A report of shots fired in a Johnson City neighborhood leads to the arrest of one suspect. A city statement said Brandon Lawson, 28, was taken into custody on property in the 1300 block of Baxter Street after the initial investigation. Eyewitnesses said Lawson fired two shots from his handgun, which was recovered at the scene along with two shell casings.
