Suspect indicted in Providence robbery, officer assault

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A Providence man accused of committing a violent robbery then assaulting the police officers who arrested him faced a judge on Wednesday. The Providence County Grand Jury handed up an indictment this week charging Malick Santos with first-degree robbery and two counts of assault of a police officer, among other alleged crimes.
