Grand Junction Police Chief Matt Smith requested the activation of the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) after an officer-involved shooting on Friday night left one suspect dead.

Person killed by police near Dairy Queen identified

The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified the person shot and killed by the Grand Junction Police Department on Friday night as 31-year-old Patti Wilson.
