Survey: COVID put a dent in Americans’ ability to save for retirement

Nearly 17 percent of Americans say they're saving less money for retirement due to the pandemic, according to a new survey by The Penny Hoarder. 16 percent of respondents are saving more money in response to COVID-19. The survey polled 1,001 people in October 2021. People in the Northeast were much more likely to save extra money for retired than respondents in other regions.
