Surinamese actor Borger Breeveld has passed away at the age of 82, his family reports. In the Netherlands, but especially in Suriname, Breeveld was known for his starring role in Wan Pipel, the first major Surinamese feature film from 1976, directed by filmmaker Pim de la Parra.
