Surf City fire destroys home, injures two firefighters

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — On Saturday, the Town of Surf City was dispatched to the 1700 block of North Shore Drive in response to a structure fire. The were multiple structures involved and one home was deemed a total loss. SURF CITY, N.C. (WNCN) -- A massive house fire at the North Carolina coast burned up to three island homes and sent thick black smoke into the sky Saturday afternoon, according to witness reports.
