Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch Consoles
The bundle offers enhanced features like 4K resolution on Switch 2 and new Storybook content as part of Super Mario's 40th anniversary celebration, Nintendo said.
- Nintendo revealed that a physical bundle featuring Super Mario Galaxy alongside its sequel will launch for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 2, 2025.
- This release celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario series and follows the original games’ launches on the Wii in 2007 and 2010 respectively.
- Both games will be available with upgraded visuals supporting up to 4K on the Nintendo Switch 2, along with a revamped user interface, options for button, stick, or motion controls, a music player feature, additional Storybook content, and two new amiibo figures launching on April 2, 2026.
- The amiibo Mario & Luma and Rosalina & Lumas provide in-game items such as Life Mushrooms and 1-Up Mushrooms, while an illustrated hardcover edition of Rosalina's Storybook will be released alongside the movie.
