- Bellabel Park hosts the Toad Brigade Training Camp, featuring more than 70 challenges where each of the Koopalings has been gifted Wonder Power from Bowser, creating battles more creative than the traditional setup.
- Jump Count alone includes 10 different stages across three difficulty levels, while the new Flower Mario powerup enables Mario to defeat enemies from below, and the Parachute Cap helps navigate hazardous obstacles.
- Multiplayer additions include Phanto Tag, a hide-and-seek mode where players disguise themselves as objects. New cooperative features allow off-screen characters to warp instantly back to Player One, fixing a longtime pain point.
- Technical improvements deliver 4K resolution and locked 60 fps performance on Nintendo Switch, while the Edition introduces Rosalina as a playable character and includes Pikmin easter eggs for players to discover.
