FDA Expands Dietary Supplement Recall that Sickened Dozens to Puerto Rico, UK
The recall covers multiple product formats sold online and in 21 states, with 45 illnesses and 12 hospitalizations linked to salmonella contamination, FDA reports.
- On Jan. 20, the Food and Drug Administration expanded the Live It Up Super Greens recall to Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom after last week's outbreak announcement.
- The outbreak infected at least 45 people and hospitalized 12 across the United States, with illnesses starting from Aug. 22 to Dec. 30, and products sold online since September 2024 and on Amazon since July 30, 2025.
- The recalled items include specific UPCs 860013190804 and 850077468070 in Original and Wild Berry flavors; consumers should discard product and email recall@artofenso.com for refunds.
- The Food and Drug Administration said unauthorized third‑party sales on ebay.com and Walmart.com may complicate the recall, retailers who purchased the product should clean and sanitize surfaces, and the agency is conducting a traceback investigation with state public health partners.
- Consumers with products expiring August 2026 to January 2028 should not use them, the FDA warned that 'Additional products may be contaminated,' and no deaths have been reported.
