"Time-out instead of women's house: Styrian pilot project wants to enable low-swelling help with domestic violence. Cooperation partners are the Jufa hotels, which offer those affected a free and anonymous stay to reduce the acute escalation risk.
The check-ins in the youth and family hotels (Jufa) would be a lower level offer than women's houses.
With new offer "check in" women can anonymously check their relationship, get advice and stay for free a few days in Jufa hotels.
With the pilot project "CHECK-IN", Styria is taking new paths in the protection of violence: Affected women can stay anonymously in a hotel for a few days before a possible escalation and receive professional help.
Women affected by violence can now check in free of charge and anonymously in Styria in nine JUFA hotels and seven other JUFA hotels in Austria. The pilot project is also called "Check-in" and is supposed to be a low-level offer with consultation.
Despite the narrowly woven offer of assistance in Styria, not all women can be reached. The project Check-In should close these gaps.
