The apple harvest in Styria is in full swing and the expectation indicates the double yield of 2024: Heuer is harvested around 142,000 tons. In 2024 there were only 75,000 tons due to frosting during the flowering period. "The own supply of Austria is secured. A part can even be exported", says Manfred Kohlfürst, chairman of the Styrian and Austrian fruit growing association, on Thursday at the fruit-growing company Reiter near Gleisdorf.
