Zurich is the city with the highest risk of a real estate bubble in the world. This is evident from the Global Real Estate Bubble Index 2026, published on Tuesday by UBS, which compares 23 international metropolises.
With an index value of 1.69, Zurich lists the UBS Global Real Estate Bubble Index, where an apartment costs around 46 annual rents – top value worldwide.
No city in the world is as threatened by a real estate collapse as Zurich. This is shown by the UBS global bubble index. The reason for the excessive prices: a rush of highly qualified tech and AI specialists in the residential real estate market.
